It said, the project will lead to the production of infographics and soundbites that address community- specific environmental concerns. It will see to the creation of environmental clubs in high schools to further educate the youth and students on climate change and environmental sustainability.
“As part of walking the talk and not just talking the walk, the launch was marked with a clean-up exercise in the Fodoa community. Members of the club swept and cleaned the gutters along the main Kumasi-Accra highway. Others also held placards with various inscription to educate travelers and drivers who used the road. Some placards read like: Plant a tree if even its your last deed, A nation that destroys its soils destroys its future and many more”, the statement said.
The president of the Movement, Mr. Otuo-Akyampong Boakye in his address after the clean-up exercise explained to the community, the importance of environmental cleanliness and the need for individuals to take up the responsibility of maintaining a clean environment.
He expressed his appreciation to the Community Solutions Program for their support.
